GUELPH, ON –Georgian College
joins the group of Professional Golf Management programs
using MotionCoach to teach golf swing analysis.
MotionCoach Flex education
pricing structure allows colleges to equip each student
on a term-by-term basis at minimal cost. The college can
also arrange for discounted pricing for students who
want to purchase the professional version of MotionCoach
upon graduation.
Shawn Robertson CPGA and
Faculty of Georgian college states: “We have
evaluated many systems and selected MotionCoach because
its feature list matches that of any application in the
world. And its pricing structure makes it the most
affordable system for any education institute. Access to
such a powerful analysis tool enriches the students’
college experience and better equips them for their
futures as golf professionals.”
With every student having
access to motion coach, instructors can issue a swing
fault video as homework. As part of regular course work
students can perform a swing analysis, and return the
work demonstrating if they understood the class lecture
material. Georgian
students are very receptive. “I think that this
program is easy to use and well set up. I would
definitely invest in MotionCoach software if I was
setting up a teaching lab.”
Students and instructor use
the same software, with the same powerful level of
functionality, so exchanging ideas and information is
easy. MotionCoach’s advanced Internet integration
supports and enables this connectivity via standard
Internet protocols with no additional cost or service
fees. MotionCoach additionally includes support for
popular Micro USB drives, CDs and LAN networks.
Although many of the PGM's
use video analysis, the FLeX version of MotionCoach
allows for the students to use the software at home,
either analyzing their own swings or those of the models
on the system. Hands-on training with computer video
analysis software will give Georgian College graduates a
competitive advantage within the competitive golf
employment world.
James Alexander, MotionCoach
Customer communication director, is pleased to bring the
opportunity to the students in the PGM program at
Georgian College. “We’re happy to see that the
college industry is beginning to see the value of
adopting visual technology in education settings. Local
students now get to share in the enriched learning
experience enjoyed by our pioneering European education
customers.”
