MotionCoach is a visualization software application used by coaches to capture video of training students/athletes. Coaches can quickly overlay video recordings of students with graphics to help the student understand their movement. The students acquire the technical skills more quickly by relating the feeling of the motion to accurate visual feedback.

When coaching young athletes, especially in women's artistic gymnastics, it is critical to acquire advanced level skills as quickly as possible. MotionCoach has a central role in that process. The MotionCoach Ultra MX computer/camera/software solution purchased by the GCG is light enough to be carried all day, and also has wireless internet connectivity so the coach can capture/analyze and e-mail a video clip to a student in under 2 minutes while standing in the gym.

MotionCoach’s advanced Internet integration enables remote coaching. Videos can be captured in Austria during international meets and e-mailed to head coaches back in Canada. Analysis of the video can be returned all in a matter of minutes. This type of technology allows specialist coaches to be in two places at the same time.
