MotionSpeed Video Calibration

 How to Calibrate
the system (Calibrate button)
MotionSpeed is very simple.
- Place the
calibration strip in the field of view of the camera and take a short
video.
- Open the video
in MotionSpeed.
- Place position
points on both ends of the calibration strip, and press the "Calibrate"
button.
The accuracy of the speed calculation depends on how well you placed
the points on the end of the meter strip.
Do I need to do this every
time ?
No, however the subject-camera
distance must remain constant. If this distance changes or you
change the zoom of the camera, the calibration needs to be redone.
MotionSpeed saves the calibration information so
if you don't have to recalibrate again after you exit the
program.
