Video Gallery Help
This is a help screen for the video gallery.

What is the Gallery ?
The
gallery provides the same function as Windows Explorer does for Windows. This is
a tool for managing files in your system. The structure and
functionality is the same as Explorer. Videos are shown as files and can be stored
in directories. Directories can contain subdirectories and each subdirectory
can contain files.
This component provides the
central role in the operation of the application. Behind the gallery is a
powerful database application, which supplies document management facilities
to MotionCoach.
The Gallery is split into two
sides: The left "Tree View" and the right "List View". The
tree view provides a higher-level view of the directories configured into the
system. The list view provides a detailed view of files in the current
directory.
The "New Folder" Button?
This button
creates a new folder in the current directory. After this button is
pressed, the Gallery will automatically select the new folder and
activate it for renaming.
The "New Clip" Button?
This button
will create a new empty video. This button is provided mostly as a
placeholder for future applications, such as game taping and segment marking.
The "Delete" Button?
This button
will trigger the deletion of what ever has been highlighted. If you want to
delete a video, click on the video file in the Gallery list view, and then
click on this delete button. The file will be deleted. The same can be done
for directories.
Use caution when deleting
because there is no undelete.
The "Cut/Copy/Paste" Buttons?
These
buttons provide the basic Cut/Copy/Paste functionality common to all
Windows programs. With these buttons, select the video file or directories you
want, and then press the Cut or Copy buttons. After you press one of these buttons
the Paste button will go active. Next, select the destination directory where
these files go and press Paste.
The "Folder Up" Button?
The folder up
button is used to move to a higher directory. Once the highest level has been
reached, the button will have no more effect. This is for navigating out of a
subdirectory.
The "View Style" Button?
The view style
button changes the displayed format of the list view. The displayed style is
a matter of user preference.
The Import and Export Buttons?
The Import and Export
buttons are for bringing video files into the application and storing files
out of the system. All MotionCoach video files are stored in a single directory.
To import a video file from a CD implies copying that file into the
MotionCoach video directory. MotionCoach will make an actual copy of the video. After
the import, the CD with the original file can be removed system.
|
Export is the opposite of import. When
a file is exported, the video file is copied to the selected
destination. This exported file could be deleted without affecting
the file in the gallery.
Two
options here allow you to choose export to CD or export to disk
folder. Multiple files can be exported at once, simply press and
hold the CNTRL key on the keyboard down while you click on the
videos.
The "MotionCAD" and
Templates Button?
The MotionCAD button is used to open the
selected video file into MotionCAD, the motion analysis application.
To use this button you must first select a file in the gallery, if
more than one file has been selected only the first is opened. If a
directory is selected an error message will be displayed stating
that only video files can be viewed in MotionCAD.

Also
directly to the left of the MotionCAD button is a little down arrow.
If you click on this arrow you are able to select a MotionCAD
template. Which ever video has been selected in the gallery will now
be transferred to the MotionCAD template.
Only
ten templates can be quick selected with this button. To
configure which templates appear in the quick select list you
need to configure the templates using the Template
manager. The Template manager is open with the Menu option
Config/Templates. |
