MotionCAD Catalog Help
This page provides help for catalog
symbol manager of MotionCAD. Note to perform this operation you
require the full version of MotionCAD.

What
is the Catalog?
The Catalog is a
powerful tool to speed up analysis of
motion. The Catalog is a easy a fast way to store and re-use the objects you
draw.
How do I use these stored
object?
From the Catalog drag and drop
your object from the catalog onto the document area. Where you release the
mouse the object will be created.
 How do
I save an object in the
Catalog?
First draw the object you want to save, If it contains multiple objects you must
group the objects together
as a single object.
To save the object in the catalog
you first hold the "ALT" key down then drag and drop the object
into the catalog. If you do not then the mouse will not leave
the document area.
Can the items in the Catalog
be renamed?
Yes, to rename an object in the
Catalog first click on the object, then click again on the text that is
below the item. The text will change from blue to white and black and a
edit cursor will appear.
Can you create new
folders in the Catalog?
Yes, to create a new folder, right
mouse button click on the yellow area of the Catalog. A popup menu will
appear, click on the entry "Catalog >". On the sub-menu click on the
item "New", after you do this the menu will disappear and a new Catalog
item will be created. The Catalog folder will not be saved until you place
an entry in
it.
