Hardware (Computer) requirements

What are the hardware and software requirements?

The MotionCoach application was designed to run on the weakest possible hardware. As a results MotionCoach can run effectively on a wide range of hardware, operating systems and cameras for input.

This permits MotionCoach to use existing hardware that you might already have, reducing the initial startup costs of using MotionCoach.

For example if you already have a Camcorder, that can be reused with MotionCoach, or if you already have a computer at home, that too can reused with MotionCoach.

The hardware systems we have chosen to supply, have been tested by instructing golf pros and we have picked only the best values systems.

Can the computer be used for other things?

Yes. Installed MotionCoach only uses 15Meg, that is under 1% of the harddrive. The rest can be used for games, word processors, internet and e-mail. Yes the videos you capture will use more than 15 Meg but videos can be exported and imported into the system.

With MotionCoach you get more than just a swing analysis system, you also get a mutli-purpose computer for all your computer needs and uses.

How long does the battery last on the Notebook computers?

In practice over 4 hours with standard teaching usage. Allow 2 hours to recharge the batteries or purchuse other bateries. The computer unit itself recharges the battery, so if you are close to a power plug you can run the system and charge the battery at the same time.
